FM #254

Next week, covers for FM #s 255, 256, 257, 258, 259, 260, 261, 262, 263, 264 and maybe 265! (just kiddin')

The Price cover is by Jason Edmiston. The other is the forth and last Stout "incentive" cover? (Which still leaves, I assume, one other cover.)

  1. LOVE the Price cover -- all skewed and colorful, very nice!
The other's not really doing it for me. It feels like an unfinished Eerie or Creepy cover from the '70s. Static pose, crude strokes, I don't know, it's just not FM to me.

  2. Even more skewed than it should have been. The images I got were all stretched out, so I fixed them.

Sorry about the lack of posts last month and it probably won't be much better this month. We'll have to see what the new year brings? Thanks for sticking around, though!

  3. It's all about quality, not quantity! You always have the coolest stuff, so who'd NOT stick around? Enjoy the downtime, haha!

  4. The Price cover is fun - I really like it! But there is no need whatsoever for a whole bunch of variant covers apart from to rip-off, frustrate and financially drain FM fans.
I agree with Mike C. about the second cover looking like an unfinished cover from Creepy.
I hope the content of this issue is an improvement and that they get rid of those vile new Captain Company ads....hideous waste of pages and you can't tell what's being advertised!

It could very well be an unfinished painting. It's a while yet till the issue comes out.

  6. I'm not liking the Price cover one bit. I think it's awful. And I have to agree with everyone on the other cover. Why no Ingrid Pitt?

  7. Sorry, but the Vinnie cover just doesn't do a thing for me. Nothing at all.
It5 doesn't look like a piece of FM worth artwork at all...

Even though it is far more indicative of it's former sister publication CREEPY, I still prefer the other cover. Not that I'm particulary thrilled with it either though.

  8. Actually if you've seen the FINISHED Price cover over on FM's facebook page, you'd flip!! It looks absolutely fantastic!!! And yeah what about an Ingrid Pitt cover for Cripesake!! This woman deserves to be honored NOW, not 4 months down the road. If I had a magazine, I would've stopped the damn presses for her passing! Honestly at this point, who's left...Christopher Lee, Barbara Steele, everybody else is dead. (Which by the way, sucks!)

  9. Thanks for the tip-off, Joe The G!

I replaced the old pic with the new. I'm really liking that Price cover, now!

  10. I know, right? It's really gorgeous!! What do you guys think about an Ingrid Pitt cover? One was done for FM 30 or so years ago from Vampire Lovers, then Monsterscene magazine had a Gogos cover of her from House That Dripped Blood. I think because of her passing recently and that fact that she was loved by just about everybody, she deserves another cover from FM. Who do you think could do her justice and from what movie/scene? I think maybe one of her as the old Bathory hag from Countess Dracula would be great!!

Well, I'm for it, though it will be hard to beat the Gogos and Ken Kelly covers.
