From Comic Book Resources: "Renowned fantasy and comic-book artist Frank Frazetta passed away today as the result of a stroke. He was 82." More of the obituary here.

Such a huge loss to art fans. By the way, that CREEPY cover hangs on my bedroom wall... one of those old Captain Company posters!
ReplyDeleteI posted that same cover at the S&P... one of my favorites too...
ReplyDeleteRIP Frank Frazetta.
Looks like that Creepy werewolf has a few other fans! (Probably quite a few.)
ReplyDeleteWhat's the "S&P"?
This is sad news, indeed. Frazetta's contributions to the icons of pop culture are indelible.
ReplyDeleteCouldn't agree more, John. I am still trying to get my mind around the loss -- he was the one to whom we compared everyone else, for decades... A sad day indeed.
ReplyDeleteMike, the S&P is the Skull & Pumpkin, my Hallowe'en and Horror 'pub' online (just my blog).
